Dr Ary Graça Honored at NORCECA Congress For Incredible Success at the Helm of FIVB

FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° received a very special recognition during the XXVII NORCECA Congress in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The special plaque was presented on behalf of NORCECA and the Dominican Republic Volleyball Federation in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the development of volleyball during his presidency from 2012-2024.

The award was presented by NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, the NORCECA Executive Committee and Board of Administration, as well as former Dominican Republic national team player and Olympian Milagros Cabral.

During his emotional speech, the NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz said:

“From 2012 to today, during these 12 years, we received the necessary know-how, and we received the necessary support. But above all, President Ary Graça taught us how to work! He made us believe in ourselves and you have now seen the NORCECA financial results which speak for themselves. All the NORCECA National Federations and all of our big NORCECA family would like to thank you and share our deepest appreciation for everything you have done for all of us during these 12 years.”

“Thank you so much for such an honorable award, I am extremely touched. NORCECA is fully independent and works very hard, we recognize this and my congratulations go to all of you for changing your mentality and adapting to face the future.

“I am very proud of the extraordinary team of professionals working at the FIVB today. This recognition is a testament to the great work done by the FIVB team under my leadership! I am sure that they will continue to do a remarkable job in the years to come.”

The NORCECA family members congratulated both FIVB President Ary Graça and NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz for their incredible achievements in the development of volleyball in the world and in the respective Continental Confederation.
